Debut: A gritty, stylized drama about a flawed but boyishly charming Portland, Ore., paramedic (Tom Everett Scott) named Wyatt Cole. First up: He copes with his gambling addiction, demanding surgeon father and romantic ordeals involving his ex-girlfriend (Elizabeth Reaser), a spunky ER physician. Wyatt also goes on numerous emergency runs, where he ends up treating a belligerent drug user and victims of a drunken-driving accident.
