She also meets the newest resident of 28 Barbary Lane, the quiet and awkward Norman, and is confronted by DeDe, who escapes to a weight-loss retreat. Meanwhile, Mrs. Madrigal finally learns of Edgar's failing health; Mona meets with a former lover, D'orothea, who wants to rekindle their romance; and Michael decides to enter a dance contest at a local bar to pay the rent, but wants to keep it a secret from his boyfriend, Jon.
