Premise: Seven directors (including Clint Eastwood and Martin Scorsese) interpret facets of the blues in a superb series that juxtaposes archival footage, interviews and performances. Among those included: B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Ray Charles, Dave Brubeck, Taj Mahal and hip-hop stars Chuck D and Common. Scorsese is the executive producer.
