Premise: Former political photojournalist Nora Wilde is reduced to chasing celebrities for a tabloid after rejecting a lucrative settlement from her wealthy ex-husband, who then had her blackballed from every reputable newspaper. Canceled after a 20-episode season on ABC, the series got a reprieve from NBC, which dragged it through three time slots in less than two years, accompanied by changes in cast and concept, with Nora writing an advice column prior to becoming a reporter.
