Episode Detail: Sesame Street - Evening at Pops
The “Sesame Street” gang visits the Pops' neighborhood, Boston's Symphony Hall, joined by Diane Schuur and saxman James Moody. Getting started, conductor Keith Lockhart and members of the Pops give the gang a quick tutorial in how an orchestra works, and it works so well that Big Bird winds up conducting. There's also a “Sesame Street” version of Prokofiev's “Peter and the Wolf”; and songs by Big Bird, Elmo, Oscar and Rosarita, and the series' human regulars Sonia Manzano, Bob McGrath, Alan Muraoka and Roscoe Orman.
