The destruction of the infamous “Steve Bartman ball” at Harry Caray's Restaurant in Chicago is covered. Bartman, of course, was the Cubs fan who may have derailed his team's World Series dreams in 2003 when he interfered with Moises Alou's attempt to catch the ball in question five outs shy of the Cubs advancing to the World Series. The Florida Marlins then went onto win the game. Grant Deporter, the restaurant's managing director, and the Chicago Tribune's Jim Warren, are slated to be on hand to offer their insights; and Harry Caray's widow Dutchie is scheduled to make a toast.
