Premise: A much imitated (and frequently parodied) music-biography series that blends interviews and concert footage in a fast-paced style. It revived Meat Loaf's popularity, provided a poignant coda to Milli Vanilli's troubled career and generated considerable buzz following its reunion of Leif Garrett and the friend who was paralyzed in a car accident in which Garrett was at the wheel.
