Debut: British historian Michael Wood looks for historical veracity behind four legends. First up: Did the Queen of Sheba, lover of the biblical King Solomon and the mother of Ethiopia, actually exist? And what of medieval Celtic superhero King Arthur? Wood traipses through Ethiopia, Yemen and Israel looking for the Queen, and the British Isles for Arthur, and ends up only tantalized. As for Arthur: “Just like the Holy Grail, we search,” he says, “willing him to be real.”
