Air Emergency

Recalling the December 11, 1994, explosion of a bomb planted by Al Qaeda operative Ramzi Yousef, aboard Phillippine Airlines Flight 434, which killed one before the pilot managed to land the aircraft. With liquid explosives, Yousef, the mastermind behind the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, assembled the bomb en route, hoping to use the flight as a test-run for future, larger attacks.
