Discussed are his years working with Sid Caesar, Carl Reiner, Larry Gelbart and Mel Brooks in the 1950s as a sketch-comedy writer for “Your Show of Shows.” Also: his long and prolific run on Broadway with such critically acclaimed hits as “Barefoot in the Park,” “The Odd Couple” and “Lost in Yonkers.”
