Episode Detail: Beach Boys - True Hollywood Story

A profile of the Beach Boys, the pop-rock group that exemplified the surf culture of 1960s California with such hits as “California Girls” and “Good Vibrations.” Included: a look at the now classic “Pet Sounds” LP, which was considered a commercial flop at the time. Also: the friction between Brian Wilson and his father, the band's one-time manager; Brian's battle with mental illness and his controversial treatment by psychologist Eugene Landy; and Dennis Wilson's association with Charles Manson.
