Episode Detail: In Search of the Jaguar - National Geographic
“In Search of the Jaguar” follows “wildlife warrior” Alan Rabinowitz and his colleagues from the Bronx Zoo's Wildlife Conservation Society as they work to protect “the most mysterious of the big cats” (as narrator Glenn Close calls them) in their habitats in Panama, Belize and Brazil. Rabinowitz wants to create a “jaguar corridor” in Central and South America to promote genetic diversity and keep the animals safe from humans, but as he battles to save jaguars he's also battling leukemia. As fellow scientist Mike Fay puts it: “Someone like Alan doesn't think about giving up.”
