A tour of the Vatican, the spiritual center for the world's one billion Roman Catholics. “The power of this place is inescapable,” says narrator Martin Sheen, referring to the Vatican's aura. It's also a treasure trove of magnificent artworks that trace its history back 2000 years (St. Peter's bones, it is said, are in the basement of St. Peter's Basilica). The hour profiles the Pope's photographer, a young Swiss Guard and an American monsignor who's about to be ordained an archbishop. It's an ancient ceremony, but not everything is old: there are ATMs---with instructions in Latin.
