Castiel did his mind meld thing on Dean and bent time to send him back to 1973 where he encountered his dad mom and grandparents In what turned about to be an origins episode Dean finally learned the truth about his mom and her family how the Yellow-Eyed Demon YED became involved in their lives and even how the beloved Impala became the Winchesters car of choice I dont know about you guys but when the end credits hit I was seriously speechless Good thing I quickly got over it because I had to write a column about In the Beginning and figure out how to capture everything that happened in this episode without sounding incoherent It was satisfying in so many ways Yes I know Sammy was in this one for all of two seconds and I really miss it when the boys arent together in the Impala on the way to their next case but we got so many answers on things that involved the younger brother and one big question that will probably play out for the rest of the se
