The Office continues a strong Season 5 with another great episode. "Crime Aid" spotlights the complications and the ups and downs of the relationships between Holly and Michael, Jim and Pam and Dwight and Angela. However, before we start my recap there's an important promise I need to make: Dear Reader, I pledge to you that in my discussions of these relationships I shall not engage in the nickname contraction epidemic that has lately plagued blogs across the Web. No "Jams" or "Dwangelinas" or "Mollys" shall be written by me; I shall also not use other "cute" couple nicknames — "PB&J" I'm looking at you — to describe the partners. I'm not asking you to do the same in your comments — I'm just saying that this is an important personal choice I'm making, which I hope you'll respect. Now let's begin.

Premise: NBC version of the hit British mockumentary about lackluster daily life at a paper-supply company, overseen by a clueless incompetent with an inflated self-image. His staff includes his arrogant, driven kiss-up assistant; a likable but bored sales rep who amuses himself by getting on the assistant's nerves; and the personable receptionist who bears the brunt of the boss' bad jokes.
