Episode Detail: Agatha Christie's Miss Marple: Murder at the Vicarage - Mystery!

As “Murder at the Vicarage” concludes, Miss Marple (Geraldine McEwan) and Inspector Slack (Stephen Tompkinson) have two confessions to choose from in the slaying of the misanthropic Col. Protheroe (Derek Jacobi). They're not inclined to believe either, so they weigh a note with different types of ink, a lone earring, a French-cigarette butt and a quote from Corinthians. It features adaptations of tales by myriad classic mystery writers, from Arthur Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie to Dick Francis and John Mortimer, with such notable figures as Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, Adam Dalgliesh, Inspector Morse and Rumpole of the Bailey. Among its best episodes are several `Prime Suspect' cases (with Helen Mirren), which have also aired on `Masterpiece Theatre.'
