“Inspector Lynley Mysteries”: Lynley and Havers (Nathaniel Parker, Sharon Small) are assigned a kidnapping case in which the victim---the secret love child of a leftist politician and a conservative tabloid editor---is found dead days before the ransom deadline. Also odd is that the demand wasn't for money but for a public admission of paternity by the girl's father, a friend of Lady Helen Clyde (Lesley Vickerage), who asks for her assistance before contacting the police.
