Episode Detail: Forgotten - Mystery!

“Forgotten,” a three-part thriller about an enigmatic woman's quest for revenge, begins. She's Rachel Monroe (Amanda Burton), who arrives in a picture-postcard Cotswolds village on the day a local girl disappears and checks in to the B&B operated by Natalie Turner (Zara Turner) and her husband, Ben (Paul McGann). Ben can't quite place Rachel, but he's immediately wary of her. He should be. Rachel's daughter was murdered some 20 years before, and she's certain that Ben did it. Emmy: Karis Copp.

Premise: Whodunits, courtroom dramas and suspense tales make up this often brilliant anthology. It features adaptations of tales by myriad classic mystery writers, from Arthur Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie to Dick Francis and John Mortimer, with such notable figures as Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, Adam Dalgliesh, Inspector Morse and Rumpole of the Bailey. Among its best episodes are several `Prime Suspect' cases (with Helen Mirren), which have also aired on `Masterpiece Theatre.'
