A two-part adaptation of "The Wyvern Mystery," J.S. Le Fanu's 1869 gothic-horror novel about a woman (Naomi Watts) in jeopardy on a seriously sinister English country estate. It's known as Wyvern, where Charles Fairfield has taken his pregnant bride, Alice, to live. Actually, they're escaping his father, who took in Alice as a girl and has, in recent years, lusted after her. But cold and empty Wyvern proves no refuge for Alice, who encounters ravens, rodents and a blind woman with a knife.
