Episode: "Doctor Zhivago"
Episode Synopsis: “Doctor Zhivago” concludes with Yury (Hans Matheson) and Lara (Keira Knightley) consummating their longing for each other as the Soviet revolution plays out around them. Unlike Omar Sharif and Julie Christie in David Lean's 1965 adaptation of Boris Pasternak's novel, Matheson and Knightley spend plenty of time in bed together, and while the sex is filmed decorously, it's steamy nonetheless. Meanwhile, the Communists are making life dangerous for both Yury and Lara. Komarovsky: Sam Neill.
