Episode Synopsis: On the day before Burke and Cristina's wedding and the day of Susan Grey's funeral, the attendings treat injured mountain climbers while the interns take their first-year exams. Meanwhile, Cristina struggles to write her vows; George learns he has been accepted at another hospital; Adele (Loretta Devine) shows up at the hospital unexpectedly, as do Joe (Steven W. Bailey) and his partner, Walter (Jack Yang); and Ava (Elizabeth Reaser) regains her memory. This isn't good news. Original Air Date: May 10, 2007

How many of you were sitting there waiting for somebody to ask Addison how L.A. was? Almost the entire hour went by and Sloan finally asked her: "How was L.A.?" Addison replied with, "L.A. was different." And different would be the perfect way to describe the opinions expressed in the comments section last week. I thank you for your honesty, but most importantly, for respecting the opinions of others (including mine). Hey, different strokes for different folks, right? Now, onto this episode...Wow. For those of you who were like me and felt really bad for Meredith after her father Thatcher slapped her last week, how about this time? I'm going to sound like a broken record, but sometimes the best acting is reacting. The way Ellen Pompeo reacted as Meredith while Thatcher yelled at her, blaming her for Susan's death, was acting at its best. I just wanted to hug her. Just like the Chief did toward the end. Premise: Surgical residents at a Seattle teaching hospital hone their bedside manners on and off the job in this medical drama, which parlayed a cushy initial time slot (post-'Desperate Housewives') and a hefty dollop of sex and romance into immediate success. Indeed, in the opener, intern Meredith Grey sleeps with attending Derek ('McDreamy') Shepherd the night before starting work at Seattle Grace and discovers the next day that he's her boss. Their romantic ups and downs became the series' keystone.
