Tenor Andrea Bocelli pays homage to the Virgin Mary in a Christmas concert that features material from his “Sacred Arias” CD. The concert was taped at the Roman basilica Santa Maria sopra Minerva. Bocelli performs three versions of “Ave Maria” (Gounod, Schubert and Caccini-Mercurio), as well as Mascagni's “Sancta Maria.” Also: “Adeste Fideles,” “Silent Night” (in Italian) and “Mille Cherubini” (Schubert).
