When Jake disappeared with the daughter of Charlie's new neighbor, a former NFL player, Charlie had to try to cover for him when her father came to Charlie's house looking for her. Meanwhile, Alan was able to get a hot date with the help of Charlie's Mercedes, but things didn't go so well.

Premise: A Malibu bachelor's carefree life is changed when his brother and 10-year-old nephew move in with him. Briskly written and performed, the sitcom has fun spoofing Charlie Sheen's bad-boy reputation and exploiting Jon Cryer's quirky, nervous energy, perfected in a number of 1980s coming-of-age films.
