Premise: Jim Henson's fanciful creations, headed by host Kermit the Frog, cavort on-stage and backstage with celebs in this classic family series, which, during its five-year syndicated run, was viewed by an estimated 235 million people in some 100 countries. Produced in England, `The Muppet Show' won three Emmys and a Peabody. Guest stars included Elton John, Bob Hope, Carol Burnett, Julie Andrews, Peter Sellers and Rudolf Nureyev (dancing a pas de deux with Miss Piggy from `Swine Lake').
