Premise: Misadventures of an unconventional L.A. PI, whose methods confounded clients and everyone else. Star Michael Richards hoped the character would become `an American Inspector Clouseau,' but the series---the first starring a `Seinfeld' alum after that classic ended---didn't make it past midseason, thus beginning the so-called `Seinfeld curse.'
