Meanwhile, Riley blows off a disheveled former college classmate with a sob story about a medical experiment gone awry.

Premise: An idealistic lawyer (and son of a senator) takes over the reins at a shark-infested D.C. firm following the mysterious death of its managing partner, though he would rather be doing pro-bono work at a legal clinic. Despite a terrific ensemble cast (built around `West Wing' alum Rob Lowe) and plenty of intrigue, the series was an early casualty of the fall 2003 season.
