Episode Detail: Lyon's Den - Lyon's Den

Debut: “West Wing” alum Rob Lowe returns to Washington, D.C., as an idealistic lawyer in a shark-filled firm. Lowe plays Jack Turner, the son of a powerful politico (Rip Torn), who's enlisted (reluctantly) to lead Lyon, LaCrosse & Levine after the mysterious death of its managing partner. In fact, Jack accepts the job only because there's no other way to stop the other senior partners from closing the firm's inner-city legal clinic, which is his passion. And in the opener, the downtown intrigue distracts from his efforts to keep a Nigerian rape victim from being deported.

Premise: An idealistic lawyer (and son of a senator) takes over the reins at a shark-infested D.C. firm following the mysterious death of its managing partner, though he would rather be doing pro-bono work at a legal clinic. Despite a terrific ensemble cast (built around `West Wing' alum Rob Lowe) and plenty of intrigue, the series was an early casualty of the fall 2003 season.
