Premise: A wealthy, carefree divorcé discovers that he's the father of a 12-year-old boy, who is naturally wise beyond his years. Rick Schroder, who spent the years following `Silver Spoons' living down the teen idol label that came with playing `The Rickster,' went on to major roles in 1989's `Lonesome Dove' and on `NYPD Blue' (as Det. Danny Sorenson).
