Whew! Private Dancer made it. I was sure he was a goner, but I’m glad to be wrong. Of course, we know this show won’t let us care about a patient who is going to have it easy, so it wasn’t all sunshine this week as Brian tried to commit suicide on the day of his hospital discharge. I find myself perennially surprised, though, how Scrubs can take a difficult and controversial topic such as suicide and still make it lighthearted and charming.Elliot’s suicide attempt has to be the funniest version possible. Floating in a lake in her bikini, only to be pulled out by the rowing team after they’ve beaten her in the head with their oars four times? Wow. Perhaps only she could have topped her lake efforts if she had followed through with putting her head in the oven. Luckily, heat on her head makes her have to pee, so Elliot was spared yet again.
