Part 3 of this five-part series on gay life features interviews with a lesbian couple, a straight couple and a gay man, all of whom live in Roanoke, Va. The lesbian couple, parents of a baby boy, describe their lives as “so normal it's boring.” The heterosexual couple, born-again Christians, say they're “under siege” by a society that equates their opposition to homosexuality with bigotry. And the gay man is a lawyer who challenged sodomy laws in court. Before that, he prosecuted gay men under those same laws as a Commonwealth Attorney. Koppel also interviews four Roanoke clergymen.
