Premise: A highly influential cult favorite starring the British comedy troupe that offered `something completely different' in the way of offbeat sketches, surreal animation, sight gags, satiric songs and bizarre characters. The show premiered in England in 1969, but didn't find its way to the U.S. until '74. With its zany sensibilities, the series paved the way for many others. After it ended, movies followed---some of them classic.
