Lost Episode: "Through the Looking Glass"

Episode Synopsis: Part 1 of 2. The castaways draw first blood in their battle with the Others while Charlie is being held in the Looking Glass hatch. Meanwhile, Ben strides off to confront Jack and Co. as they make their way to the radio tower. "This island is under assault from forces stronger than anything it has had to deal with in many years," Ben tells Mikhail. "And we are meant to protect it by any means necessary." Scenes set in Los Angeles follow Jack. Original Air Date: May 23, 2007

Premise: An addictively enigmatic hit about stranded plane-crash survivors on an eerie Pacific island. These disparate, resilient souls are bedeviled by flashbacks to their pasts, ever-changing group dynamics, otherworldly predators and hostile island inhabitants they come to call the Others. Six of the survivors are eventually rescued and return to the U.S.---for awhile. Cocreated by J.J. Abrams ('Alias'; 'Star Trek') and filmed in Hawaii.
