Premise: A spirited teen gets visits from God, who takes on various human forms to give her `assignments.' Not at all preachy or pretentious, this is a warm family drama with a classy ensemble cast portraying smartly defined characters, including Joan's police-detective dad and her older brother, a paraplegic. It was one of the few successful scripted shows to premiere in the 2003-04 season.
