Episode Detail: Sleeping Murder - Diagnosis Murder

Mark's hypochondriac brother, Stacy (Jerry Van Dyke), shows up in the E.R. claiming he's sick. Shortly after he's admitted, Stacy's hospital roommate is murdered and suspicion falls on him. Meanwhile, a new medical school dean (Joanna Cassidy) clashes with Mark over a mistake made by a student. Amanda: Victoria Rowell. Jesse: Charlie Schlatter. Mark: Dick Van Dyke.

Premise: Dr. Mark Sloan dabbles in detective work to help the L.A. police department in this second durable hit for Van Dyke, who first played the sleuth on an episode of 'Jake and the Fatman' in 1991, and then in three TV-movies.
