“Tom Brokaw: Eyewitness to History.” The NBC newsman looks back and sums up. The retrospective focuses primarily on “the eyewitness role Tom has had,” says producer Elizabeth Cole. Other witnesses, some famous, some not (including Brokaw's wife and daughters) also look back. And Brokaw again reflects on a story he didn't cover, but which he has made his own: the heroism of “the greatest generation.”
