Love Hewitt: Cheryl Burke Body Talk Is "Insensitive"

Jennifer Love Hewitt has said it before, and she's saying it again: Drop the Cheryl Burke body talk.
The Ghost Whisperer star is reaffirming her defense of Dancing with the Stars pro Cheryl Burke, who's been getting flak this season for supposed flab (we haven't noticed). During a Wednesday appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Love Hewitt didn't mince words on the topic.
"It's really insensitive. It's really unnecessary," she said. "Cheryl Burke is so beautiful and an amazing dancer and that's what people should concentrate on."
"It hurts your feelings," Hewitt continued. "That stuff gets under your skin whether you want it to or not. It feels very high school," she added. "I don't know who decides what person is more important than everyone else that they can sort of tear people down that way."
Hewitt, who first spoke out in defense of Burke in mid-October, has faced public body buzz herself. Last year, she was at the center of media frenzy over a bikini photo that was much maligned in the public eye.
Lately, the body talk about Hewitt has focused more on her noticeably slimmer size, which she attributes to marathon training -- not media scrutiny.
"I was happy with myself in those photos, and I'm still happy," she said, according to Us. "People are meant to be all shapes and sizes because that's what makes us different and interesting."
