Cheers: Idol Cuts Not-So-Fab Four

Garrett Hayley and Ryan Seacrest by Michael Becker / FOX
Cheers to
American Idol for deservedly sending four singers packing: Leif Garrett-esque Garrett Haley (whose tentative version of "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do" was proven wrong by Ryan Seacrest's swift dismissal); pretty but bland Amy Davis (who warbled "Where the Boys Are" but apparently couldn't find where the votes are); vocally underwhelming plus-size mannequin Joanne Borgella (is it too late for her to get onto
Top Model?) and instantly forgettable Colton Berry (whose name should be a Ben & Jerry's flavor). I only wish Simon Cowell & Co. could've cut more than four. Seriously, is this the most unimpressive crop of
Idol finalists ever? I'm starting to think America's musical talent pool has been drained bone-dry.
