Welcome back, everyone! I know, I know. Long time no see. I guess you are aware that there was a strike. A very strange and frantic strike. But now its over. It is behind us and it is now time for the drunken redhead to move forward and face the world again. To say that I have missed you all terribly is an understatement. The strike was an altered state. A constant off-balance feeling. A "FOG," which stands for Freakin Opportunity for Growth. I had my doubts and fears like anybody on TV who used to wait tables for 20 years. I have been busy performing, picketing, auditioning, working with a singing coach, getting political, doing some charity events, waving in a parade and just plain worrying.Ive just returned from Minneapolis with the very funny and talented Mr. Brian Baumgartner. We were the judges for Last Comic Standing there. We had a ball. Angela [Kinsey] and Oscar [Nunez] did the same thing in L.A. It was interesting sitting through all that sta...

OK, before we proceed out of the gate on Episode 305 "Weight of What Was" that aired tonight we first want to note that the strike is over and that the GHOST WHISPERER crew, writers and actors are gearing up to start shooting new, original episodes for this season which will be broadcast as soon as we can get them to CBS. Coming to work this morning was very exciting it's the first time in many weeks that the Universal Lot (where we shoot GHOST WHISPERER) was populated with people instead of a bunch of parked production trucks and vans. There were people going through the main gate, people on bikes doing production runs, people in crew vans scouting locations, people towing and driving rigs with gigantic artificial trees (for Clint Eastwood's movie keep an eye out in theatres for it) and wardrobe racks being rolled through the streets. The CSI crews opened up their stages, and Desperate Housewives began putting Wisteria Lane back in order (after their tor...

This week were in Louisville, KY to meet the Hughes family. Patricia and Patrick John Hughess eldest son, Patrick Henry, was born blind and without the ability to fully straighten his arms and legs, leaving him unable to walk. Despite circumstances that seem overwhelming, Patrick Henry has exhibited extreme strength and a positive attitude in order to achieve his goals. Not only is Patrick Henry an amazing pianist, having played since he was 9 months old, but he also excels at the trumpet and singing. Hes even Part of the University of Louisville School of Music Marching and Pep Band To me this week is about the glass being half full. I think its how you look at things. The cards are dealt, but its how you look at them. Patrick Henry has never seen his disabilities, matter of fact, he thinks that you and I are the ones with the disability. Because we judge people. We see people for their color or their race or what have you. He doesnt. He judges...

Vroooooom! This week was FAST! And not just "fast" in the sense thatthe week went smoothly, but "fast" in the literal sense of the word. I gotto drive FAST! Ty, Eduardo, Johnny, Rib and I headed out to Kansas City, Kansas for thefirst time in our show's history. We've been to Kansas City before, butit has always been in Missouri. Although it was our first time on theKansas side, it was our third time with our famous builder, Kevin Green. Now, Kevin and his team really know how to do it right, from lavish partiesto tractor-trailers with Kevin's picture 20 feet high! Knowing we were inhis hands made us truly enjoy our week. We surprised the Gilyeat family Daniel Gilyeat and his four youngchildren. Daniel is a hero in every sense of the word. He is a greatdad, and made a huge sacrifice for our country when he fought in the war. Unfortunately that fight left him with only one leg his HUMVEE was hitby an IED during combat. You think that an injury like this might stop him,...

This week we're in Manchester, New Hampshire to meet the Voisine family Ray, Casey, and their four boys. Now everything was going great for the family, they were living in their dream home, and life was really good. This is where we should say, "and they all lived happily ever after." Sadly we can't. When the rains started in mid May 2006, the Voisines thought they were immune to the predicted flooding. Their house wasn't in a flood zone. In fact, there was a four-lane highway between their neighborhood and the river. But as the waters began to rise, Casey Voisine started getting nervous. After four days of pouring, it was clear that the water that was rising outside their home was far more than a puddle. By midnight on Mothers Day, the water had made its way into the house, soaked the carpet and was rising to the level of the electrical outlets! Within a few days, the Governor had declared a state of emergency, FEMA had been dispatched and assessments were being made of the ...

When you think of Maryland, what comes to mind? The seashore? The naval base? The port? That is what came to mind when I pictured Maryland — what I didn't expect to find was rolling hills and horse farms
thousands and thousands of acres of farms! It was so unexpected and so gorgeous! Ty, Eduardo, Ed, Rib and I looked out the windows of the bus over never-ending rolling hills, bridges, scenic waterways and beautiful farms. We knew it was going to be a great week.We surprised the Luther family, and quickly got them on their way to vacation. The Luther family runs a therapeutic horse-riding facility called Rolling Hills. They have touched so many people's lives, and we got the opportunity to meet some of these courageous people. From young children to adults, ranging in disabilities from debilitating diseases to spinal cord injuries, we got the chance to see how the simple act of riding a horse can help in unimaginable ways. We learned so much — how riding a horse can...

Hello Ghost Whisperer fans!We are so happy to be back on the air with an all new episode this past Friday. You probably noticed a new hunky addition to the GW team- Cristoph Sanders, who plays Delia's son Ned. We met with many actors for this role, but when Cristoph stepped into the room, we all knew he was the one. Interestingly enough Camryn Manheim- who plays Delia- did not meet Cristoph until they shot their first scene, but their chemistry was instant and amazing. We have lots of exciting things planned for the character Ned this season, so stay tuned! Most of the high school scenes were taped at Grant High School in the Valley. The haunting during the basketball game was an elaborate scene in which the stunts were done practically- complete with collapsing bleachers, extras and actors running around, and a rigged scoreboard. This scene had to be shot several times until it was perfect, but we think it worked out great in the end.As for the bat sequences, these were all done...

Greetings, my name is Didiayer Snyder. It is my pleasure to share with you about this past week's episode. Upon receiving the news that I had been chosen to join the design team on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, I felt the immediate warmth of joy in my heart. To have arrived at a platform of such grandeur, much like the families for which the show exists, I was beside myself. Having found such an optimal outlet for which to express my compassion for others, and at the same time effectively employ my skills as a designer and carpenter helping make someone else's life less burdensome, truly allows me to feel as if I'm the one receiving. Set along the Atlantic Ocean, the town of Milbridge, Maine, boasts some of the most breathtaking views and the best lobster bisque in the world. It's the type of town one dreams of raising a family in. A picturesque location many long to visit and explore. For this episode, I joined team leader Ty Pennington and team designers Paul DiMeo, Eduardo Xol,...
