Hi everyone,
I hope you enjoyed my Argentine tango with Joanna. It was a lot of fun! Right now, I'm rehearsing for the Michael Jackson tribute on the results show. It's going well. There are a lot of people and we're getting through it and getting a lot of things done. It's going to be a fun dance and a fun experience.
As I said last time, the tribute will be three numbers. Derek and Mark choreographed the first, I choreographed the second and we kind of all choreographed the third one under Cheryl's tutelage. Everybody is stepping in for the third number, which will a big thing. A bunch of Jacksons are going to be there and at the risk of sounding cocky — like Maks! — I'm not nervous. Just kidding! I just want to do a good job. I'm having a ...

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your comments and messages again. I've had busy week and before we get into Dancing, I want to mention a very important event I went to last week.
I had the privilege of attending the Free the Slaves Freedom Awards and it was amazing! I had no idea what to expect going into it. I was totally blind to things like this — modern-day slavery. It was interesting to find out the facts. While I was doing the red carpet, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore showed up and all these big actors were there, so it was a very publicized event and now a lot of people are jumping onboard to raise awareness and help out. When you hear it, you don't really think about stuff like that: "Like, really? Slaves in 2009?" Somebody asked me on the carpet what I think we should do and I think just the knowledge that there are more people out there than whoever facilitates human trafficking is already something to think about. It gets more people involved and makes the police become aware of this. I think we can change it. I was totally shocked and surprised and very happy to be a part of it.
As for Dancing, I was ...

So now you know the plot twist for "Til Death Do Us Start"! From the comments that you've posted, it seems this episode had you guessing right 'til the very end. Special thanks to co-executive producer Mark B. Perry for writing such a terrific story. (BTW: Have any of you checked out his cool antiques store, M & M Antiques, that he just opened—we have reason to believe that some of the things are H-A-U-N-T-E-D! Just in time for Halloween.)
Next up is an episode written and directed by...

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all your comments and support. It's been great, and Debi and I really appreciate it. We got eliminated, but that's the show and the way it is. We had a great time and I'm glad I was paired with Debi. I know I have a friend for life.
Even though Tom DeLay withdrew, I wasn't surprised they still eliminated a couple. The show has an overwhelming number of couples. On paper, when they decided to go with 16 couples and double eliminations, it looked ...

This week we're in Suffield, Connecticut to pay a visit to the Hill Family. Known to local admirers as the "family choir," the 13 Hill family members — William and Catherine along with their sons, daughters, nieces and nephews — have motivated friends and neighbors with their musical talents, academic achievements and selfless generosity. Cramped living conditions and sorely needed electrical, plumbing, roof and other home repairs have continued to take a backseat to helping those in need and providing a good education for the children. Five of the Hill siblings and cousins living at home are college students, and the family also scrimps and saves to provide medical treatment and care in their home for cousin Shamia, who received a kidney transplant from daughter Sonia...

Hello,
We hope you enjoyed last week's episode, "See No Evil." Wasn't Sally Stitch spooky? It took our make-up department an hour to glue those stitches onto our actors. Now that's dedication to the craft! The cliff-hanger with the little girl at the end will have a lot of significance to Melinda in the near future. Stay tuned!

Jennifer Love Hewitt
Thank you all for helping make our season premiere a great success! We've read your messages on the boards and we're so glad to hear that you enjoyed and were pleasantly surprised by the first episode! "Birthday Presence" was directed by Jennifer Love Hewitt — she is one of the few triple threats in Hollywood (actor, director, executive producer) at this time. We don't believe there has been an actor to wear all three hats on a drama since the late Michael Landon with Little House on the Prairie. It's quite a daunting task to undertake, but Love handled it effortlessly. Then, wait until you see what we've got lined up for the 100th episode (which she also directs)! We promise, this is just the beginning.

Hi everyone,
Welcome to my blog! I'm excited to share my thoughts and stories with you this season. First, thanks to everyone who has voted for Debi and me. We are working hard every day. Our next dance is the samba and it's going great! I think she's finally getting the hang of all of this. It's a hard dance and requires a lot of precision, but at the same time, it's a lot of fun. I think Debi will do a great job. She did a wonderful tango last week and she's getting better and better, and I love that. That's what the show's all about — improving every week.
Last week, we were in the bottom two. I don't know what happened. I don't think about that. Everybody has their fan base and maybe hers is smaller. We're doing our ...

This week finds us in Greene County, Mo. where Chris and Niki Hampton were happily living in a 792 sq. ft. house with their 9-year-old son Dakota and 6-year-old daughter Hannah (cramped but content). Then, the Hamptons got a phone call from Social Services. Niki's sister's four children had been taken by the state, and Chris and Niki had one hour to decide whether they could take in their nieces and nephews, or let them go to a foster family. They knew immediately that they had to take in Jacob, Lexi, Kira and Gage. Though they weren't sure how eight people could squeeze into the tiny one-bedroom, one-bathroom house, the Hamptons knew that they needed to take those kids in, or they would lose them into the system where they'd likely be separated. This week is about following through with their wish to keep those kids together, safe and create one big family unit.
