'Dew On Scallions' is an ancient elegy which sang: 'Dew on scallions is so easily to be dried. Dried and then next day it would still cry. But a person who is gone will never come by.' The film's mind-frame is the same as the elegy above.
Foshou(The name means 'Budda Hands'), who is from a southern part city works in a residential quarters as an electrician in Peking. Once she got a free day and went out to the Summer Palace, where she unexpectedly met Wu Yang who is the student of Musical College. Then Foshou found that Wu Yang had been living in the garden was just where she had been working. The mysterious background of Wu Yang attracted her, so she shadowed Wu Yang who had a special relation with 'Uncle'. The money-body sexual deals between Wu and 'Uncle' shocked against Foshou, which made her a decision to intrude into Wu's life. On day, Foshou rescued Wu Yang from maltreatment by 'Uncle' and sent her to a hospital. In the hospital, the doctor warned that Wu might suffer from an incurable disease. After this incident, they both were inseparable, like a body and its shadow.
On Wu Yang's birthday, Foshou suddenly got a curious idea to awake her peculiarly. After the resuscitation of life, they both had to escape from the devil's clutches of 'Uncle'. But they couldn't understand why there was not any place for them to live in those beautiful outside. The winter, on the first month 5th of the lunar new year, when Chinese was welcoming their Mammon, the hard snow was hiding its loud voice and dredging flakes over the groud, the sound from their hearts rumbling, the sense of hearing losing, Wu Yang was sitting on a crenelation of the Great Wall and saying: 'At no time in my life have I been so cheerful than in this case.' Then, died.
