For 199 episodes, Ty Pennington and his design team have led a television phenomenon that has helped deserving families in all 50 states. This Friday, January 13, at 8/7c, the 200th episode and series finale of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition airs on ABC.  To all who have ever cried or laughed watching an episode of this series over the last nine years, I hope you will set aside the two hours to watch what I believe is the most impressive feat of non-fiction television in a long while.  From my experience, no factual television series has attempted to accomplish so much, by so many, for such a good cause, in one single episode.

Rapper Xzibit's Baby Son Dies

Rapper Xzibit has revealed that his 11-day-old son, Xavier Kingston Joiner, died on May 26. Xzibit wrote about his son's passing on his official MySpace blog, saying "[Xavier's] lungs were not strong enough to handle regular oxygen on his own." Though the baby was born prematurely, Xzibit had spoken optimistically about his chances of survival. Now that his son is gone, the rapper urges people reading his blog to cherish every moment with their children, saying "Hold on to your kids, if you have them. Protect them and show them you love them everyday you wake up and see them."Xzibit will be starring alongside David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson and Amanda Peet in this summer's The X-Files: I Want to Believe. Fox has picked up the two-week-old, Wayne Brady-hosted sing-in-the-blanks game show Don't Forget the Lyrics! for a second, 13-episode season, says Variety....
