Star Trek's Captain Kirk and Sulu have had their differences, but the real-life pair are now facing the kind of earthly problems that miscommunication between old friends can create.
William Shatner lashed out at George Takei in a video Wednesday, apparently out of the belief that his former costar didn't invite him to his wedding this fall.

The Bio Channel on Wednesday announced that William Shatner will host Shatner's Raw Nerve, a new series launching Aug. 19. However much some of us tend to wring our hands about it, there’s a reason ABC’s Boston Legal scores those Emmy nominations year after year that often make us wonder what the voters are smoking. Several of those Emmy-bait moments occurred a week ago, in an episode about a right-to-die case involving Shirley Schmidt (Candice Bergen) and her father suffering from Alzheimer dementia, with Alan Shore (James Spader) making his usual impassioned case for his client. What made this argument more affecting than usual was the fact that Alan used his soapbox to contemplate the day when he might eventually be called on to make just such a terrible decision regarding the fate of his best friend, that tragic buffoon Denny Crane (William Shatner.)The speech was an emotional blockbuster, and so was the tender climax as Shirley watched her father slip away. Set William Shatner on (still) stunned. As expressed in previous sound bites, the original Enterprise captain (no offense, Pike) questions the decision to not extend him the same courtesy as Leonard Nimoy and somehow include him in J.J. Abrams' prequel film lensing now. "How could you not put one of the founding figures into a movie that was being resurrected? That doesn't make good business sense to me!" the Boston Legal blusterer tells TV's Extra. To his credit, the Shat argues, "I've become even more popular than I was playing Captain Kirk. I'm good box office and I get publicity.... But, they are going in a different direction." Any snubs aside, Shatner predicts, "It'll be a wonderful film."
