The Graduate -- Nominated for seven Academy Awards and winner for Best Director, this groundbreaking and 'wildly hilarious' (The Boston Globe) social satire launched the career of two-time Oscar-winner Dustin Hoffman and cemented the reputation of acclaimed director Mike Nichols. Pulsating with the rebellious spirit of the '60s and a haunting score sung by Simon and Garfunkel, The Graduate is truly a 'landmark film' (Leonard Maltin). Shy Benjamin Braddock (Dustin Hoffman) returns home from college with an uncertain future. Then the wife of his father's business partner, the sexy Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft), seduces him, and the affair only deepens his confusion. That is, until he meets the girl of his dreams (Katharine Ross). But there's one problem: she's Mrs. Robinson's daughter!

Tyler Czarnecki is the owner of an apartment building haunted by a pair of flesh-eating Babylonian demons who eat the tenants and treat Tyler as their slave. While he clearly resents his lot, Tyler limits his rebellion to grumbling to Rabisu, the lesser of the demons and, from all appearances, Tyler's only real friend. Tyler's sister Amy, a police officer, is indifferent to his plight - or at least too distracted by her shady dealings with the local gang of vampires to get involved. However, the status quo is upset when an attractive young woman named Donna moves into Tyler's building. While Donna is clearly on the run from something, Tyler takes a liking to her and decides to save her from becoming the demons' next meal.

But once the spaceship is underway, doubts surface. Merritt questions the audacity of humankind's reach for the heavens. He calls it blasphemy and threatens to destroy the mission. Five-time Oscar. winner George Pal (The War Of The Worlds) produced this adventure rooted in the '50s understanding of space exploration... and heightened by the awareness that no matter how advanced science becomes, human weaknesses remain.
