Amazing Race's Gary and Mallory: Our Cabbie Lost Us $1 Million

Bad taxi luck struck Gary and Mallory Ervin at the worst time on The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business — on the last leg, and they couldn't do anything about it. "Once we pulled out of the airport, there was no going back. We were married to [our cabbie] Sterling for better or worse," Gary tells TVGuide.com. "We went to remote locations, so we couldn't change cabs." Despite that, the father and daughter made up major time on Kisha and Jen, and Flight Time and Big Easy at the trailer task and are happy they got to go out racing hard.

Amazing Race's Flight Time and Big Easy: We Didn't Bully Kent and Vyxsin

The final Amazing Race: Unfinished Business task — assembling a trailer park — was all about the details, and unfortunately for Herb "Flight Time" Lang and Nate "Big Easy" Lofton, they glossed over one that cost them the $1 million. "I think we could've been there longer if we didn't [look at Kisha and Jen's table setting]," Big Easy tells TVGuide.com. "It was about the small details. With the wind blowing everything, it was just something that we missed." The Harlem Globetrotters are, however, happy to "finish strong" and complete all 12 legs. See what else they have to say about their time on the Race, sharing answers, and get their side on Gnome-gate.

Amazing Race's Kent and Vyxsin: The Globetrotters Were "Very Appalling"

A 30-minute penalty for taking a cab to the Pit Stop instead of going by foot doomed Kent Kaliber and Vyxsin Fiala on The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business, but the real drama came at the Roadblock when the Globetrotters accused Vyxsin of stealing Flight Time's gnome mold. "I didn't take it," Vyxsin tells TVGuide.com. "It was pretty clear on the episode the way they showed it when I put mine on the bottom shelf. I talked to the chocolate teachers and everybody said, 'No, of course, you didn't take it.'" Of course, that wasn't enough to stop the Globetrotters from taunting the Goths — behavior Kent dubs "pretty disgusting." See what else they have to say about the Globetrotters and which team should not be underestimated.

CBS Tweet Week: What Amazing Race Teams Get on Phil Keoghan's Nerves?

On Sunday's Amazing Race: Unfinished Business, teams traveled to Varanasi, India, where they completed such tasks as hauling hay and making fuel with cow manure. Luckily for Phil Keoghan, who live-tweeted the episode, he didn't get down and dirty because "there is no time" for him to try any of the tasks, he revealed.

Here are five more tidbits we learned from the Amazing host:

Amazing Race's Jaime and Cara: We Wouldn't Have U-Turned Kent and Vyxsin

After surviving a U-Turn, Jaime Edmondson and Cara Rosenthal fell victim to a grueling life-size dinosaur assembly task on The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business. "[It took] about four hours," Jaime tells TVGuide.com. "We knew we were last and I'm very happy knowing that even though we knew we were last, Jaime didn't quit," Cara adds. "We finished because the one thing we aren't is quitters." The former NFL cheerleaders also aren't bitter about Kent and Vyxsin U-Turning them right in front of their faces — but they wouldn't have done the same to them.

11. Most Passive-Aggressive Duo:
After completing the frog-in-a-mud-pit Detour on The Amazing Race in what can only be described as adult diapers, Kent marvels at how cold it was in the pit -- not to mention, the fact that his goth makeup held up. "Were you cold?" he asks gal pal Vyxsin. She responds: "No, because I was working really hard." Oh, snap!

Amazing Race: Phil Keoghan Explains Why These 11 Teams Have Unfinished Business

It's time to hit the road again on The Amazing Race — with plenty of familiar faces. The CBS reality hit returns Sunday with 11 veteran teams who had never won before to settle, as the season's subtitle says, some Unfinished Business.

"These are teams that have been so incredibly popular that it was an opportunity to bring back some favorite teams that have favorite stories," host Phil Keoghan tells TVGuide.com. "They're teams that have really been walking around with the 'woulda, coulda, shoulda' ever since they got kicked off. It's like, enough moaning; come back and give it another shot and no more excuses."

But casting Unfinished Business — the show's second all-star outing after Season 11 — was as hard as designing the Race itself. For one, Season 13 wound up not being represented at all, even though fan favorites Toni and Dallas, who lost their passports, seemed like shoo-ins. "It really comes down to whether you think that story of theirs is really stronger than that of anyone we've got," Keoghan says. "There are a lot of other teams, but I feel pretty confident that the teams we've got have the best stories and the best motivation for coming back."

So why are these 11 also-rans the cream of the crop? Keoghan explains the show's picks below.
