Delo osvobaja (2004) -- The main hero, Peter, is in his early forties. He s a machine operator by profession. Until recently, he worked in a factory, but after Slovenia's integration into the European Union, the factory closed down and Peter and his colleagues have been made redundant. Peter's wife is very supportive and their family life appears to be quite satisfactory. Slowly but surely, he is loosing self-confidence and self-esteem. Peter demands a divorce immediately, and Vera agrees. Peter ends up in a psychiatric ward. One day, on his way home, he finds all his neighbours, scared and worried, in front of the house. He learns that gas has been leaking in the cellar. Fire-fighters should have arrived already, but they got stuck in a traffic jam. There is a real danger of explosion. Peter does not hesitate; he runs into the building and manages to shut down the main valve, although he almost suffocates. Four, down-on-their luck guys in a small town form a screenwriting workshop at their local diner. They meet religiously every week to support each other in their quest to write a great screenplay. Or a good screenplay. Or a not-so-bad one. Nursing a wicked hang-over on New Year's Day, the four friends realize they've become failure enablers and decide to take a final shot to change their luck. As Kirby struggles with rejection, custody problems with his ex and writers block, his fellow scribes pitch his script to a sleazy bottom-feeder producer. In short order, the Z-list producer and his entourage, Vera and Ditto, wreak havoc on the four writers. Soon the four friends become prisoners of their bitter competition.
