The writer of the hit comedy Bring It On, takes on the world of competitive gymnastics in Stick It. Haley Graham (Missy Peregrym) is a rebellious 17 year-old who is forced to return to the regimented world of gymnastics after a run-in with the law. A judge sentences Haley to her ultimate nightmare -- attending an elite gymnastics academy run by legendary hardnosed coach Burt Vickerman (Jeff Bridges). Haley's rebellious spirit and quick-witted banter quickly shakes things up at the strict school ? making both close friends and bitter foes along the way. Haley surprises herself as she discovers an unexpected ally in the form of her new coach, and learns respect is a two-way street. Haley, Vickerman, and a group of his elite athletes band together to confront a major championship and prove that loyalty, friendships and individual athletes matter more than rules, judges or scores. watch

A hilarious comedy about frustrated waiters, stingy tippers and dicey food, Lions Gate Films' Waiting... stars Ryan Reynolds, Justin Long and Anna Faris as young employees battling boredom at Shenanigan's, a generic chain restaurant. A waiter for four years since high school, Dean (Justin Long) has never questioned his job at Shenanigan's. But when he learns that Chett, a high school classmate, now has a lucrative career in electrical engineering, he's thrown into turmoil about his dead-end life. Dean's friend Monty (Ryan Renolds) is in exactly the same boat, but he couldn't care less. More concerned with partying and getting laid by underage girls, Monty is put in charge of training Mitch (John Francis Daley), a shy new employee. Over the course of one chaotic shift, Mitch gets to know the rest of Shenanigan's quirky staff: Monty's tough-talking ex-girlfriend, Serena (Anna Faris), Shenanigan's over-zealous manager, Dan (David Koechner), and head cook Raddimus (Luis Guzman), who's obs watch

Pilot News: Dreams Girl Feels the Hurt

Vanessa Lengies, who in my semi-humble opinion was one of the very best things about American Dreams, has joined the cast of the ABC comedy pilot This Might Hurt. In the prospective medical practice-set series, says the Reporter, Lengies will play Lily, a receptionist who is "sweet, naive and disarmingly sincere" and has a strange predilection for go-go boots. — MWMread more

Fortysomething Jean has stumbled in and out of a number of bad relationships in her lifetime, and is desperate to find a good man; however, Holly has grown a bit tired of Jean's favored means of therapy after a bad breakup -- packing up the family and moving to a new city. Once Jean and her girls settle in Brooklyn, Holly thinks they should stay for a while, and when Jean's romantic prospects begin to look less than rosy, Holly and her new friend Amy (Vanessa Lengies) decide to invent a secret admirer for her. Needing advice on what the "perfect man" would say and do, Holly and Amy turn to Ben (Chris Noth), Amy's uncle who talks a very good game when it comes to romance. But convincing Jean that there's a real man behind the steady stream of lette

NBC Stars Party Down!

What's Party Boy's fave part of the annual Television Critics Assoc. press tour in L.A.? Why, the parties, of course! Where else but these publicity orgies can TV journalists enjoy free eats and get tipsy with stars who, well, kinda have to be nice to us? The festivities began Sunday night at NBC's big all-star party at the Universal Studios theme park... After valeting his car in the Frankenstein parking lot (yes, really), Party Boy flashed his invitation to get past the lookyloo tourists and proceeded straight to the red carpet. Everybody from Apprentice guru Donald Trump to Will & Grace's Eric McCormack and Sean Hayes to Las Vegas stars Josh Duhamel and Vanessa Marcil were smilin' and posin' as usual. Later inside, I couldn't resist asking Duhamel what he thinks of shows like Fox's North Shore, which shamelessly ripped off the Vegas format. "You can never really dupli read more
