It was quite the sensation when Valerie Bertinelli shed 50 pounds on the Jenny Craig diet and donned a bikini to show off her new bod in April. Bertinelli has kept the weight off and filmed a new commercial for Jenny Craig called "Motorcycle Mama" featuring her boyfriend and her mom (who has jumped on the Jenny bandwagon).

Former One Day at a Timer Valerie Bertinelli is celebrating her upcoming 49th birthday by showing off her rocking bikini body.
Bertinelli, who has shed 50 pounds as a celebrity client and spokesperson for Jenny Craig, slipped into a string bikini for the cover of People's latest issue. Bertinelli said she hadn't worn a bikini since she was 20, but used her fear as motivation.
"I thought, am I really going to do this? Can I pull this off?" Bertinelli tells the magazine. Eventually, she loosened up. "Come on — it's just a bathing suit! I thought, if I'm so afraid of a bikini, there's something wrong. And so I had to get back into one!"

In addition to the return of Julie Bowen as Denise, this season's 10th episode will also feature a guest-starring turn by Valerie Bertinelli. Valerie Bertinelli, former star of One Day at a Time, has signed with TBS to star in a new, unnamed sitcom.The vehicle, reports Variety, will feature Bertinelli as a single mom struggling to raise her two kids and run the family business after her husband walks out on her.
