The 10 Best Supernatural Characters

Supernatural will always be the story of Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles), but over the years the series has introduced dozens of other characters who have found beloved homes in the fandom. And on Tuesday's episode (9/8c, The CW), Sheriff Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes) returns again when she calls on the Winchesters to help investigate four missing virgins. (Hey, at least it's a step up from dating Crowley!)

Supernatural Cheat Sheet: What to Expect in Season 9

Supernatural returns for its ninth season Tuesday (8/7c, The CW) and we can't wait to see what's next for Team Free Will.

"I think this year's first three episodes of setting up our world are all pretty special," executive producer Robert Singer told reporters at Comic-Con over the summer. "There may be certain moves that some of our characters make that some fans don't like, but I think they're going to understand them ... and it's really going to be driving the mythology."

Only a few weeks into the latest Supernatural "hell-atus" and I'm already overwhelmed with anxiety. What will human Castiel be like? Will Sam (Jared Padalecki) be OK? How annoying are those friggin' angels going to be? On one hand, I'm excited for the unknown possibilities, but I'm also worried about how the changes will affect Team Free Will. Here are the biggest Season 9 hopes and fears keeping me up at night:read more

Supernatural: Sam and Dean Reunited and It Feels So ... Odd and Secretive?

"Sorry, Sam, you are well and truly alone."

That taunt at the end of last year's Supernatural finale sets up the psychological drama for Season 8, which kicks off Wednesday (9/8c, The CW). Sam and Dean Winchester (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles) reunite in the premiere, but all is not as it once was. It's been a year since they've fought evil together, and each of the brothers have spent that time in very different, life-altering ways.

What's Ahead for Men in Trees' Marin and Jack?

TVGuide.com recently invited fans of ABC's Men in Trees (Thursdays at 10 pm/ET) to hit series creator Jenny Bicks with your best shots — the questions about Marin, Jack, Annie et al that you ache to have answered. Faster than you can say "Elmo, Alaska," Bicks came through. Here is her exceptionally qualified take on one of the TV season's most enjoyable and frothy hits. Men in Trees is my favorite show, I love it. The only part I do not like is Lynn (played by Justine Bateman) and Jack (James Tupper). It doesn't make sense that he would change his life just because an old girlfriend that hurt him came back to town pre read more

Bed, Bat and... the Bears!

I think I've used up all of my good karma for a long while, what with Men in Trees getting picked up and moved to after Grey's Anatomy, and the swift and crushing Bears victory on Sunday. To be honest, I'm not a huge football aficionado in general, but I am from Chicago, so I really have no choice but to be a rabid and unquestioning Bears fan. Our producer, Rick Wallace, also hails from the Windy City, so we've been spending a lot of Sundays at the local Vancouver sports bar, along with John Amos, who plays Buzz. Here's some Men in Trees trivia for you: John Amos used to play football for the Kansas City Chiefs! You don't have to wait until the Super Bowl to see some Bears action, because we have a very special appearance by a bear on tonight's episode of Men in Trees, "Bed, Bat and Beyond." From the title you may be able to guess that a certain winged creature will also be making an appearance. I know I've been talking about how much we all love each other up here on the show, but t... read more
