Adam F. Goldberg is finally where he wants to be.
After stubbornly keeping The Goldbergs behind Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. last season, ABC finally moved it to Wednesdays at 8:30/7:30c this year, sandwiched between ...

The Goldbergs is based on Adam F. Goldberg's childhood, but how much of Season 1's wacky adventures really happened? A lot. "In a lot of ways, I have to pull back because some of the stories are so crazy," he tells TVGuide.com. "Even with the [home] videos at the end of the episodes, people still don't believe me." We caught up with Goldberg to get the true story behind on some of this season's most memorable story lines (ironically, the Goonies worshipper never did his own treasure hunt as a kid, but he "really hope[s]"Goonies 2 happens), what you can expect on Tuesday's finale and what he hopes to do in Season 2.
Tuesday's Star Wars episode of The Goldbergs finds Adam (Sean Giambrone) and Erica (Hayley Orrantia) camping out for Return of the Jedi tickets. Beverly is nowhere in line, which is fine but a tad surprising to Wendi McLendon-Covey.
"I just remember when Return of the Jedi came out. It was like the second coming of Jesus almost," she tells TVGuide.com. "I was not allowed to line up for things ... but I don't think I would've done it. I don't like anything ...

The Goldbergs will pay homage to yet another '80s classic on Tuesday — but this one is very near and dear to creator Adam F. Goldberg's heart: The Goonies!
The cult coming-of-age film is Goldberg's favorite movie, and to see his mini-version brought to the small screen is a "dream come true." "I still cannot believe ...

Why aren't you watching The Goldbergs?
The '80s-set ABC family comedy, based on creator Adam F. Goldberg's childhood and his childhood home videos — which are shown at the end of episodes — doesn't have the star power of some of the new fall series or a glossy name and built-in selling point like its lead-in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but it's one of the better freshmen series of the new season. And you are definitely missing out on some big laughs and rad '80s fashions if you're not tuning in.
Here are four reasons why you should be watching The Goldbergs.

The Sons of Tucson are getting a makeover: Fox has announced an open casting call to recast two young leads in its new midseason comedy.
