The Bay
He saved the Daytime Emmys when no one at ABC, CBS or NBC wanted to produce them anymore. Now Jim Romanovich, of Associated Television International, plans to work his magic on the hot internet sudser The Bay. Romanovich tells TV Guide Magazine that ATI has acquired the soap star-studded series — created by Gregori J. Martin — with plans to sell it as a half-hour cable or syndicated program to air in 2012.

Tristan Rogers
It's always hot news when Tristan Rogers returns to daytime TV. One of the soap world's all-time greats — thanks to his many rowdy years as Robert Scorpio on General Hospital — Rogers will soon show up on The Young and the Restless. A show rep tells TV Guide Magazine he'll play "a mysterious and charming stranger named Colin who comes to Genoa City with a dark secret and a threatening agenda." Rogers, whose role at this point is considered recurring, will start shooting...

General Hospital icon Tristan Rogers absent from the show since 2006 will headline the second season of SOAPnet's General Hospital: Night Shift as Robert Scorpio when the series returns next month. Dont expect his usual bad-boy superspy antics, however. Scorpio will arrive with "a major health issue thatll have him grappling with his mortality," says a rep for the GH spin-off.Robert's daughter, Robin (Kimberly McCullough), will be his physician. Sounds pretty damn dire, but Rogers is thrilled. "Thisll be a real departure wherever it's headed," he says. "Robert and Robin will finally get a chance to connect as adults. The last time he was in town he was too busy battling a killer virus, so he's never even dealt with her being HIV-positive." But hes got way more than that to deal with now: Robin is pregnant. Save these dates, General Hospital fans: Tristan Rogers resurfaces as Robert Scorpio this Thursday, April 13. Dynasty diva Emma Samms pops up again as his ex-squeeze Holly Sutton on May 1. And Finola Hughes returns as the elusive Anna Devane Scorpio on May 12.
By the way, GH is now officially confirming Finola's comeback, which TVGuide.com first reported last week — even if a certain other soapy site did post a "Finola Returns!" report right after mine went online, lamely trying to pass off my scoop as their own. But I digress....
GH says we should expect Anna to literally "drop in" while Luke and Robert are on the run from the law during another trip to the fictional Maarkam Islands.
"I am very excited to be reprising

Scoop! After months of speculation, TVGuide.com has confirmation from an extremely reliable source that Finola Hughes is returning to General Hospital for at least a week or two in May sweeps. See? I told you all not to give up.
Since
Tristan Rogers and
Emma Samms reprised their classic roles as Robert Scorpio and Holly Sutton Scorpio in February,
GH fans have been asking about Robert's
other wife, Anna Devane Scorpio. Nice to finally know that all Luke's old pals will be
reuniting in May! Since it's all being kept fairly hush hush, the ABC soap's rep had no comment.

Thanks to all the returning favorites from its '80s heyday, General Hospital enjoyed a sweet ratings boost during February sweeps. Naturally, the ABC sudser is hatching plans for fans to see much more of Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) and Emma Samms (Holly Sutton). As GH co-head writer Bob Guza recently told the New York Times: "I'm going to put Luke, Robert and Holly all in a sleeping bag on a mountain. One sleeping bag! Not coincidentally, [this will happen during] May sweeps."

Anthony Geary, General Hospital
It's easy to grouse about the annual Daytime Emmy nominations: "One Life to Live's Robin Strasser was robbed! Why is Passions treated like the stepchild of soaps? And who voted for that so-so star(let)?" But nobody could object to the outstanding-lead-actor nod for General Hospital's talented Anthony Geary. In this exclusive interview, TVGuide.com asks the most recognizable man in daytime TV about Emmy, the return of Holly and Robert Scorpio, and those endless Genie Francis rumors.
TVGuide.com: Congrats on your eighth Emmy nom! You've won four times. Are you still surprised at this point?
Anthony Geary: Thank you. I'm always surprised.
TVGuide.com: What did you submit for your prenomination reel?
Geary: I used the

Hungry for some happier General Hospital gossip? A very reliable rumor has it that Emma Samms is reprising her classic '80s role as Holly Scorpio. So Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) won't be coming back to Port Charles alone!
One caveat: Despite what you may've read elsewhere on the Internet, Samms won't stay in town for six weeks. A source tells TVGuide.com that her return is planned to be
much briefer, at least for now. Even shorter than Samms' stint in thigh-high hooker boots on the
Melrose Place spin-off,
Models, Inc.? (Side note: SoapNet
totally needs to acquire that sudser for reruns!)

Good news! General Hospital is keeping up its current trend of '80s nostalgia casting: Next up, Aussie actor Tristan Rogers returns as Robin's father, Robert Scorpio, on Jan. 27. This time, Robert shows up in the flesh — despite appearing to Robin as a ghost after he and wife Anna were presumably killed in a 1992 boat explosion. He'll return when a major health crisis strikes the residents of Port Charles, and he'll share lotsa screen time with old pal Luke (Anthony Geary).
ABC Daytime chief Brian Frons says that bringing back beloved characters such as Noah Drake and Robin Scorpio has been a big hit with fans this year. He adds: "Robert's return to the canvas will solidify the show as a must-watch viewing experience."
Will Style Network fashionista Finola Hughes (ex-Anna) also return to complete the Scorpio family reunion? A show rep firmly tells TVGuide.com: "No. At the present
